Description [src]

Gets the package data, a free-form field the backend may use to store whatever additional information it needs to identify or handle the package, for example whether it was installed automatically or manually. Most backends leave it empty.

The contents of the data field are entirely backend-specific and must not be parsed by client applications. Use %pk_package_get_info() for state information instead.

Return value

Type: const gchar*

The data, or NULL if unset.

The returned data is owned by the instance.

The return value can be NULL.

The value is a NUL terminated UTF-8 string.
